An early 20th Century Persian Bibikibad rug with a sophisticated pattern compromised of a large central medallion with a tree surrounded by alternating coral, brown, and indigo halos, on a larger medallion of brown wool with two arrow-form ends. The main field is a skillfully woven trellis pattern of taupe on cream with a black dot in the center of each quadrant. The border is comprised of multiple alternating floral, paisley, and geometric patterns, woven in complementary colors as the field.
