An extraordinary mid-20th Century Persian Heriz rug with a large central dark indigo floral medallion on a rich crimson background. The field is intensely woven with stylized flowers and vines and other complementary floral patterns. The border is comprised of a wide stylized floral pattern on an indigo background flanked by two similar floral patterned borders.
